I Heart Romance

This is the first book that I read by Evie North and I am torn. The premise of this story is interesting (which is why I read it) but I though it was a little bit flat, monotonous. I did not warm up to both characters immediately and I did not get the revenge that Gervais planned against Katherine. True, it was Katherine’s abusive protector that framed Gervais and sent him to jail but I did not feel his wrath while reading the book. I was also puzzled about the whole plot and the motivations behind Katherine’s abusive protector.

The book is peppered with steamy scenes between the hero and heroine and I thought it was placed well all throughout the book. It is classified as an erotic romance but I did appreciate that it wasn’t all smut.

This was a very quick read for me and it had a really slow start. I loved the middle part of the book but the end started to slow down for me.

This is the book for you if you love: quick erotic scenes and revenge.
